Are cracking joints in hypermobility anything to worry about

For painless clicking, the honest answer is almost always no. The long standing worry that cracking joints causes arthritis has not held up, and a pop with no pain behind it is not evidence of harm. What deserves attention is any noise that arrives with a symptom: pain at the moment of the crack, swelling or warmth around the joint, a joint that locks or catches, or a sense of giving way.
